QR Codes

What is a QR code?

A QR code, technically known as a quick response code is similar to a matrix type code or a simple replacement for the bar code. Nowadays, we can see QR codes being used in various places such as in newspaper ads, online ads, train tickets and also in many super-markets instead of the standard bar codes.

A QR code can be scanned using QR scanners or even by using QR code scanner apps, which can be downloaded for free. These apps first take a picture and then use a certain set of algorithm to scan these codes.. There are almost 40 types of QR codes. For encoding or decoding a QR code we have to concentrate on five main parts of a QR code. You might also be interested to know that there are  certain websites that generate QR codes for the text that you type.
